You Deserve More Than One Postpartum Checkup

Updated: 2 days ago

Your healing deserves time, space, and care

The 6-week checkup isn’t enough.

Your body, your hormones, your emotions, your life—it all changes so rapidly in the weeks after birth. One visit just doesn’t cut it.

That’s why midwifery care includes multiple postpartum visits, spread out to support the full arc of your healing.

Here’s how my care works:

  • Day 1–2: I check on you at home within the first few days, often within 24 hours.

  • Week 1: A deeper check on feeding, healing, emotional wellbeing.

  • Week 3: A chance to reassess and address any lingering challenges.

  • Week 6: A final visit (for now), to reflect, review, and connect you to long-term support if needed.

Healing isn’t linear. Support shouldn’t be either.

You deserve to be held through every part of postpartum—not just handed a questionnaire at six weeks and sent on your way.

Invest in Comprehensive Postpartum Recovery

Six weeks of healing can't be assessed in one appointment. Your body, hormones, and emotional state change dramatically in the weeks after birth—you deserve ongoing support that matches this reality.

My postpartum care package includes multiple home visits spread across your first six weeks, ensuring you receive the support you need as your recovery unfolds. No single visit can address everything that happens during this transformative time.

Currently accepting families for 2026 births in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Let's discuss how ongoing postpartum support can make your fourth trimester feel more manageable and supported.

Frequently Asked Questions About Extended Postpartum Care

Q: Why do you provide multiple postpartum visits instead of just one?

A: Healing isn't linear, and different concerns arise at different stages. Week one issues (like initial feeding challenges) are different from week four issues (like returning energy or mood changes). Multiple visits allow me to support you through the full arc of recovery.
